1000th HARMAN TiTAN PINHOLE CAMERA SOLD!
The 1000th ILFORD PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY KIT featuring the HARMAN TiTAN Pinhole Camera was sold at Focus on Imaging 2012.
The landmark was reached when Jackie MacRae visited the HARMAN technology stand to check it out. Jackie who is studying for a Masters in Art & Design at Loughborough University is serious about her photography, with a growing interest for Pinholes over the last 5 or 6 years. Having read many positive reviews in magazines and on-line she decided to visit the exhibition to see it for herself, really liked it, and had no hesitation in making the purchase.
Steven Brierley, Director of Sales and Marketing at HARMAN technology Limited, said, “We are absolutely delighted at the interest that has been created with the HARMAN TiTAN 4x5 Pinhole Camera, and to hit the 1000th sale so soon is very rewarding. Sales are way ahead of our expectations. We are continuing to get enquiries from all around the world, and are doing everything possible to complete all orders as quickly as possible”.
A prototype camera was shown at Focus on Imaging in 2011 and received huge interest from schools and colleges, as well as existing pinhole photographers. The HARMAN TiTAN PINHOLE CAMERA has been designed in conjunction with, and manufactured in the UK by Walker Cameras who are well known for their range of Titan large format film cameras. The body is made from injection moulded ABS, finished with a very durable non-slip coating. This makes the camera exceptionally robust to withstand extreme natural elements, and rough handling. The camera, which can be used with any photographic film or paper, takes a 4 x 5 film holder and features tripod mount positions, built-in spirit levels, and an accessory mount. It comes with a 72mm wide-angle pinhole cone, which is interchangeable. Separate cones of 110 and 150mm, which is the same focal length as the standard lens on a 4 x 5 camera, are planned as optional extras.
The ILFORD PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY KIT also includes 10 sheets of 4 x 5 inch HARMAN DIRECT POSITIVE FB photographic paper, 10 sheets of 4 x 5 inch ILFORD DELTA 100 Professional film, and 10 sheets of 4x5 inch ILFORD MULTIGARDE IV RC paper that can be used in the camera to make a paper negative. All this contained in a recognisable iconic ILFORD white box, with a useful Pinhole Exposure Calculator.
A short 5-minute video, presented by Sue Evans of HARMAN technology Technical Department that explains the features of the camera, and the contents of the Kit, can be viewed at http://goo.gl/Xwzw1.
