HARMAN technology Ltd is pleased to announce the 2011 competition winners.
“Framing the Nation” was the theme of the competition for UK photographic students. Following requests from the education sector the 2011 competition was split into 2 categories – Monochrome and Digital.
First Prize in the monochrome category is awarded to Tomas Januska from University of East London, with his image titled “Gone Rowing”. Tomas receives
the ILFORD PINHOLE PHOTOGRAPHY KIT including the HARMAN TiTAN Pinhole Camera PLUS £350 cash. The two Runners Up who each receive £100 of product from HARMANexpress.com are Jan Van De Kaa, University of East London, Untitled, and Natalie Costaneda, University of East London for ”Stranger in a Stranger Land”
The Winner of the Inkjet category is Daniel Durose from Burton and South Derbyshire College, with an image titled “Podium”. Daniel receives a Nikon J1 camera complete with 10-30mm lens worth over £500. The two Runners Up who each receive £100 of product from HARMANexpress.com are Vivien Lucas, Burton and South Derbyshire College for “Burton Rowers”, and Emma Green, Burton College, with “Higher”.
University of East London submitted the most eligible entries and will receive £500 of product from HARMANexpress.com.
The competition for members of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain has been won by Bob Pearson from Taunton Camera Club with his image “Tornado Departs”. Bob receives an Epson Stylus Photo R3000 inkjet printer.
The two Runners Up who each receive £50 of product from HARMANexpress.com are Linda Horne of Keynsham Photographic Society with “Helston Bandsman”, and Malcolm McGaw from Bebington Photographic Society for “British Housewife 1940”.
The winning images will be displayed on the HARMAN technology Limited stand C2 at Focus on Imaging, NEC Birmingham, from 4th to 7th March 2012.
